Didn't test the 3D so far, but I ordered a starter package to test it out. I have seen the LEDs from Samsung as well, but if you are looking for a real home cinema screen, there is no way around plasma. The LEDs are good, but still don't match the perfect colors of this TV. My last HDTV was a LCD, the colors on this new Samsung plasma are much brigther, black is real black. Together with all the other features, it's a real dream machine. Save some money and get it, it's worth it!
